Ivy Kids Kit Review
We are a heading into the second half of the first year where I truly felt like I got this “homeschooling” thing down. I’ve found a good rhythm to our days and weeks. We have been able to spend time with friends. enjoy nature and go on trips. With all this though, I was still wanting some kind of monthly surprise fun for the kids. My daughter thoroughly enjoys our Christmas season because she gets to pull activities out of a hat to do that day. I had thought to just keep the activity jar as a year round enrichment, but I knew if we did it all year-round then it would loose its spark come Christmas time again.
So, I went on a mission to look for a monthly subscription box. My go-to site for subscription boxes is Cratejoy.com. I’ve used them to find jerky subscriptions, book subscriptions and one-time unique gift subscriptions. Nothing on this site though was catching my eye. I knew I wanted hands-on learning. I also knew that it had to be a kit that would work for both my 6 year old and 9 year old.
I stumbled across Ivy Kids Kits through a Google search. It seemed to hit all my “wants”. I usually like to research as much as I can about a product before putting down my money, but I couldn’t find any videos or reviews. I felt like I saw enough on their site, so I was hopeful that it wouldn’t be a “too good to be true” scenario. I took the plunge and activated a three-month subscription.
Since then, we have received three boxes. I have been extremely pleased with this subscription! What I love the most about them is that it is themed and you get manipulatives that can be used over and over for other lessons.
And, since I couldn’t find any videos on the kits, I decided to go way out of my comfort zone and create my very first unboxing video. I’ll get the hang of it one day, but I figured it was enough for others to see that the company is legit and the box is a great deal.
So, go check them out for yourself. Stay tuned for my next post where I show you the contents of the other boxes. They are amazing!
