For all homeschool parents – watch your expectations – don’t set them too high or you will get burnt out. Also, review your expectations on a periodic basis. Your family dynamic changes and your expectations most likely will change.  If you are a working homeschool mama or papa, give yourself some grace. Set realistic expectations for your job, spouse, and children.

Remind yourself of why you started to homeschool in the first place. Teaching your child about life skills, the natural world, and other “extras” is just as important as the academics. “Your children are always learning”.

Probably most importantly – get plugged in to a homeschool community to feel supported.
