Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Where Are You?

Autumn is my favorite time of year! Growing up in New England, I always welcomed the first signs of Fall—a crispness in the air, less tourists, a darkening of the sky, and the overall warm and cozy feeling that the upcoming holidays would bring.

Now that I live in Southeast Texas, I might not get the same type of colorful Fall as in my childhood, but, nonetheless, I love to welcome the changing season.

We welcomed Fall with open arms last week with a morning hike.  I was grateful for the cooler weather (65 degrees versus 90 the week before), and the drop in humidity.  It is true, humidity really makes all the difference.

I believe in hands-on learning and learning through experiences.  We usually don’t take paper and pencils with us when we go exploring in the woods, but sometimes it is nice to have it on hand to center us, take a break, or perhaps use as a memory keeper.

I created this quick page to bring with us to usher in the new season.  You can download it for free from my shop today.  Nature Hunt
